Award winning study demonstrates 95% success rate after 10 years with Geistlich Bio-Oss® and Geistlich Bio-Gide®.

A recent publication from PD Dr. Vivianne Chappuis (University of Bern) has been awarded the André Schroeder Research Prize 2018.

The study from Chappuis et.al. from the 'Effectiveness of Contour Augmentation with Guided Bone Regeneration: 10-Year Results', demonstrates the long-term efficacy of early implant placement with simultaneous GBR, utilising Geistlich Bio-Oss® and Geistlich Bio-Gide®. The study assess a variety of clinical and aesthetic parameters and reports stable hard and soft-tissues as observed by an increase in facial bone wall thickness of 0mm - 1.67mm (from surgery to 10 year follow-up) and high PES and WES aesthetic scores. Overall the authors report a success rate of 95% over a 10 year follow-up period.
