Advanced approach - Delayed implant placement
Delayed implant placement is associated with full functional bone quality at time of implant placement.
Clinical case: Delayed implant placement with a preserved buccal bone wall using Geistlich Bio-Oss® Collagen and Geistlich Mucograft® Seal.
Situation right before tooth extraction, day of OP.
Alveole filled with Geistlich Bio-Oss® Collagen.
Geistlich Mucograft® Seal in place right before suturing.
Situation after 4 months, right before implant placement.
"With Geistlich Bio-Oss® Collagen and Geistlich Mucograft® Seal, impressive solid bone and soft-tissue quality are observed at the time of implant placement." (Statement Dr. Fickl, Germany)
Clinical case: Delayed implant placement with defect bony buccal wall using Geistlich Combi-Kit Collagen.
Significant buccal bone dehiscence visible after extraction of tooth 14 and flap elevation.
After tooth extraction, the socket is augmented with Geistlich Bio-Oss® Collagen, gently packed to completely fill the alveolus.
A Geistlich Bio-Gide® membrane is applied to cover the augmented area.
4 months after extraction, complete healing and maturation of both soft and hard tissues is achieved.
"Socket grafting with Geistlich Combi-Kit Collagen promotes the maintenance of the ridge profile for future restoration." (Statement Prof. Araújo, Brasil)
