Geistlich attracts high visitor numbers to the EAO Congress in Paris for its product launch

Geistlich took part in the EAO Congress from September 29 to October 1, 2016 in Paris. With around 2,700 visitors, the annual congress of the European Association for Osseointegration was a very popular event. The visitor numbers were also high for Geistlich: The Satellite Symposium and Hands-on Workshops, with highly regarded expert speakers, attracted a lot of interest. A further highlight was the product launch of Geistlich Bio-Gide® Compressed.

Core topics that motivate
As diamond sponsor at this year's EAO Congress, Geistlich organized the Geistlich Satellite Symposium with Prof. Ronald E. Jung and Prof. Frank Schwarz, and the Hands-on Workshops with Prof. Frank Schwarz and Prof. Ki-Tae Koo. The central topics covered by these events were controlled bone regeneration, alveolar osteitis following tooth extraction and peri-implantitis. The high participant numbers and crowds following the events clearly showed that these core topics hit a spot with the experts and that Geistlich strives to respond to key issues.

Addition to the Geistlich Bio-Gide membrane family
Geistlich presented a new product at the EAO Congress: Geistlich Bio-Gide® Compressed complements the benefits of the leading collagen membrane Geistlich Bio-Gide® for oral tissue regeneration to offer alternative handling for dentists who prefer a firmer membrane. This product is designed for dentists who prefer membranes with a firmer grip.

In time for the product launch, the two opinion leaders Prof. Istvan Urban (Hungary) and Dr. Luca De Stavola (Italy) documented Geistlich Bio-Gide® Compressed in clinical use. The case-study documentation and further information on Geistlich Bio-Gide® Compressed are available here
