This summer, three apprentices at Geistlich successfully obtained their Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ). We are proud and congratulate them!

At Geistlich, young talent is the key to success. With this in mind, the traditional family company has been committed to vocational training for many years. Specifically, young people at the Root and Wolhusen sites have the opportunity to start their careers in the five profiles of commercial area, computer scientist, laboratory technician, polygrapher and logistics technician. With 12 apprentices now, Geistlich Pharma aims not least to counteract the shortage of skilled workers. Tamara VĂ¼llers, Vocational Training Manager at Geistlich Pharma, says: "By continuing to employ apprentices after they have completed their apprenticeship, we secure the know-how within the company. "This year, Geistlich will retain two of the three graduates.

International environment already during the apprenticeship

Geistlich organizes the entry into professional life in a practical and varied way and provides the apprentices with motivated vocational and practical trainers. The international orientation of the company also enables young people to exchange ideas with employees all over the world. This proves to be an advantage in all profiles - but especially in the commercial area - where the apprenticeship can be completed with the Business English profile. Fabienne Waller, laboratory assistant, reflects on her apprenticeship at Geistlich as follows: "Although the company operates internationally, there is a family-like cohesion that I particularly appreciated. No matter in which department I was allowed to work, I was always welcome and always felt very well taken care of. Her colleague Elaya Erdogan, a commercial clerk, looks back and says: "I benefited most from the diverse impressions and an international business environment at Geistlich."

In order to establish itself on the apprenticeship market, Geistlich has been relying on its presence on "Yousty" Switzerland's largest apprenticeship exchange, since February 2021. Both here and on the Geistlich website, recruitment for the apprenticeship with a future from August 2022 is already in full swing. Interested parties are welcome to apply.

We wish all our successful apprenticeship graduates every success for their future professional and educational paths. We extend a warm welcome to the four new apprentices starting in summer 2021.
